New Technology

Digital X-rays   Our patients are exposed to 50%-90% less radiation than with traditional x-ray techniques.  What’s more, a highly detailed image is almost instantaneously translated onto our computer screen, carrying with it all the conveniences of other digitized images: it can be rotated, magnified, adjusted for contrast, and even color-coded for educational purposes.  Further, we can store it easily and efficiently in our computer files, eliminating paper files as well as image wear and tear.

Intraoral Cameras   Even with lights and mirrors, it's tough to see anything but the front of your own teeth, or segments of the shadowed backs and side areas.  But intraoral cameras have changed all of that.  Now you can sit comfortably back in the chair while the dentist inserts a handy pen-sized, camera-tipped wand into your mouth. The computing unit enlarges the full-color images and sends them to a TV screen to view more detail of your oral health.

Casey Education Software   Chairside, CAESY’s live-action videos with crisp, state-of-the-art 3-D animations explain complex procedures in easy-to-understand language.  This software allows our practice to print explanations of dental conditions and treatment options. Hand-outs have full color photos with detailed information that is easy to understand.

Rotary Endodontics   Rotary Endodontics, or root canal, is a method in which the doctor utilizes an electric handpiece to perform the procedure.  The computer guided, electric handpiece allows our doctors to clean and shape the canals faster than using hand files.  With this instrument there is no drill noise making the whole treatment experience much more pleasant.

Computerized Dental Charting   Digital charting is an effiecient means of tracking a patient's dental history.  It also provides high quality visual aids for patients and doctors to view changes in their dental health.  Digital charting is a greener technology drastically reducing waste.

Lasers in Dentistry   Lasers allow our practice to treat many conditions conservatively and non-surgicallyLasers significantly reduce the discomfort of soft tissue procedures.  An additional benefit is that lasers help sterilize the area being treated. These factors speed the healing process and minimize the soreness that can occur after a dental procedure.

Patient T.V. in Operatory   Each room is wired for satellite television to watch during your appointment.  Each room is also capable of playing DVD movies for longer appointments. Choose from action, romance, drama and children’s movies in the finest digital movie quality.

Magnification and Illumination    All of our dentists utilize powerful magnifying glasses and headlight illumination, which are far superior to goggles and traditional overhead lights.  Bright and larger images are easier to see. Our surgical-grade magnifying glasses help us diagnose dental decay much early than could be possible with non-magnified goggles.
